After five centuries of colonial occupation, fourteen years of war of liberation, and more then 25 years of civil war, the history of Angolan people still being dominated by the themes of turmoil, victimization, and disappointments. Civil war ended with the collapse of Savimbi on February 22, 2002. While the pressure of international community had obligated the regime of MPLA to hold conspired legislative and presidential elections in 2008, the regime of dos Santos did not yield back the power to its original holders who are the Angolan people. In fact, since 1975 until now, the regime of MPLA were responsible for rampant human rights abuses against civilian population and political opponents, including the widespread and systematic use of torture, forced disappearances, discrimination, arbitrary detentions and extrajudicial killings. Therefore, enough is enough. The Coalition of Angola’s Regime Change (CARC) is now prepared to make a bold move in a direction of stepping down the 40 years reign of the regime of terror.

Angola’s Badges of Dictatorship Still Remain Unresolved

In the late 50s thousands of men and women  of Angola had decided stand up and fearlessly had engaged in a revolution that opposed the oppressive regime of Salazar.  40 years later after Angola’s independence in 1975, the causes that were in the aspirations of Angolan people when they decided to wage a bloody war against the regime of Salazar still remain unresolved. Indeed, when the MPLA took control of the country in 1975, these badges were implicitly transferred to the badges of dictatorship.
